Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, says the military has taken full control of the so-called “Morag Corridor” in Gaza, which effectively cuts off the south, from the rest of the Strip.
This leaves Rafah totally isolated from Khan Younis and other areas. The Israeli defence minister says the military will also expand, to other parts of Gaza.

But it’s not the only barrier Israeli forces have created in the Strip, since the war started.
The so-called “Netzarim Corridor”, which cuts off the north from the rest of Gaza, has been a flashpoint in recent weeks. And the “Philadelphi Corridor” runs along Gaza’s southern border with Egypt.

Al Jazeera’s Nour Odeh reports from Jordan’s capital Amman. She’s there as the Israeli government and Palestinian Authority have banned Al Jazeera from reporting inside Israel and the occupied West Bank.
