Aljazeera Source Israel’s military spokesperson, Brigadier General Effie Defrin, says Israeli forces carried out more than 300 airstrikes in Iran and Lebanon, targeting what he described as command and control centres, ballistic missile platforms and components of Iran’s nuclear programme.
Meanwhile, David Wood, Senior Lebanon Analyst at the International Crisis Group, told Al Jazeera from Beirut that Israel appears to be pursuing parallel objectives: weakening Iran directly while escalating pressure on Hezbollah in Lebanon.
