Ubai Aboudi, executive director of the Bisan Centre for Research and Development, tells Al Jazeera that after the ceasefire in Gaza began, Israel simply “transferred its operations to the West Bank”. “They just transferred their genocidal policies,” he said. “We have seen for example over 1,000 checkpoints being erected all over the West Bank, some of them completely permanent, others ‘flying checkpoints’, as we call them. They have cut off Palestinian villages and cities from each other. We have seen increasing arrests, raids, what can only been described as Palestinian hostages.”
