The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) is pausing the delivery of aid through the key Karem Abu Salem crossing, known as Kerem Shalom to Israelis, between Israel and Gaza because of security concerns, its chief said. The decision could worsen the humanitarian situation in Gaza as the cold, rainy winter sets in – with hundreds of thousands of Palestinians reliant on international food aid.
